Mini-intensive course

This course allows you to complete a specific study cycle in a shorter time, by having just one hour of individual lesson in the afternoon that will follow the four group hours in the morning.

The morning lessons will be based on:

● the study of the Italian grammar

● the communicative use of Italian language

The lesson phase, including study of grammar and structures, is followed by consolidation exercises that are carried out both in class and at home.

The part of the lesson dedicated to the development of communicative competences and writing skills will be based on the following tasks:

• playing games
• playing roles
• readings
• discussions
• listening to dialogues and songs
• watching films
• short compositions and dictations

Thanks to these techniques our well-trained mother tongue teachers, specialized in teaching Italian to foreign learners, will aim at improving your global knowledge of the Italian language.

Depending of the language level of every student, ILM offers:

• Italian culture and civilization lessons
• conversation and comparison moments referred to the above issues
• a great variety of Italian topics from typical national food to more complex themes such as the current affairs in Italy.
• the analysis of national newspapers and literature excerpts

During the afternoon lesson our well-trained mother tongue teachers specialized in teaching Italian to foreign learners will

• evaluate precisely the student's initial knowledge of the Italian language
• identify his/her needs
• guide each student providing him/her with all the linguistic and cultural competences required for his/her needs.
• Prepare personal activities to suit learners specific needs considering the initial language level of each student.

This phase of the course is extremely personalized and the student will play a very active role with the teacher in shaping the course of study to be attended.

As in the super intensive courses, also in this case the student will

• attend both group and individual lessons
• decide with the teacher what subjects should be treated
• choose to deepen the best topics for his/her profession or studies, e.g. preparation for the PLIDA or Italian university exam.

The course is held in Pisa and Viareggio 25 lessons a week (20 group hours + 5 individual hours a week) 5 lessons a day
