Our Italian language and culture courses run all year round in Pisa.
In Viareggio, as a seaside destination, the Italian courses run only during the Summer months.
The Italian course learning programme is divided into 6 levels, according to the Common European Framework, from absolute beginners to advanced level (A1-C2). Our Italian learning program respects the structure and contents of the University for Foreigners of Siena Syllabus.
You can choose from many types of Italian Courses and Italian Culture Courses and Special courses of Cultural enrichment . We offer you a wide range of Italian Courses, which vary in the number of lessons per week and whether they are in groups, individual lessons or combined (group lessons and individual lessons).
Italian Language and Italian Culture Courses:
General Italian courses “GA”: combines the teaching of grammatical and structural aspects of the language with activities for the development of communicative skills. The course also provides elements of Italian culture. This General Italian course is held in Pisa and consists of 20 group lessons a week, 4 lessons a day.
Holiday Italian courses “GV”: is mainly oriented towards developing conversational skills, without neglecting Italian grammar and culture. The Holiday Italian course is held in Viareggio with 20 group lessons a week, 4 lessons a day.
Intensive Italian courses “GB” :essentially covers the same syllabus as the General course and Holiday course but with a larger number of hours. Added to the 4 hours of lessons during the morning are 2 hours of group conversation in the afternoon. The Intensive Italian course which is held in both Pisa and Viareggio, consists of 30 group lessons a week, 6 lessons a day.
Long Term Italian Courses “LT”: combines the presentation of grammatical and structural aspects of the language with activities for the development of communication skills. The lessons also cover elements of Italian culture. The Long Term Italian course is only held in Pisa for a minimum of 12 weeks.
Individual Italian courses “IC”: individualised lessons, for those who need to make maximum use of the short periods available to them, with a personalized syllabus according to specific work and study needs. The Individual Italian course is held in Pisa and Viareggio. 20/30/40 lessons a week, 4/6/8 lessons a day. Meeting Times: to be chosen by the student. Starting date: open.
Individual Italian courses with lunch with the teacher “IP”: takes place in the same way as the other individual courses except that each day two hours of conversation are held at a restaurant or pizzeria. The Individual Italian course with lunch with the teacher is held in Pisa and Viareggio 20/30/40 lessons a week, 4/6/8 lessons a day. Meeting Times: to be chosen by the student. Starting date: open.
Mini-intensive Italian courses “MI”: is suitable for those who wish to complete a specific course of study in a short time, but prefer to fill the afternoon with only one hour of lessons. Like the Super-intensive course, there are group lessons combined with individual lessons, during which it is possible to arrange with the teacher to cover specific subjects of interest to the student for his/her profession or studies, e.g. a professional dealing with a specific topic or preparation for a university exam in Italian. The Mini intensive Italian course is held in Pisa and Viareggio. 25 lessons a week (20 group + 5 individual hours a week), 5 lessons a day.
Super-intensive Italian courses “SI”: is particularly suited to those who wish to complete a specific programme of studies in a short time. The group lessons help to develop general language skills, while the individual lessons can intensly focus on subjects of particular interest to the student, such as topics relating to a profession or for preparation for an university exam in Italian.
The Super Intensive Italian course is held in Pisa and Viareggio. 30 lessons a week (20 group hours and 10 individual hours a week), 6 lessons a day.
